1976 Chevrolet Nova SS

Why This Vehicle is Special

If you know muscle cars, you know the Nova SS heyday was effectively from the early 60’s to the early 70’s. In 1976 Chevrolet offered the RPO Z26 (the Nova Super Sport option). It had lower body dual stripes, Nova SS decals, sport mirrors, Rally wheels, F40 heavy-duty suspension, and a four-spoke steering wheel with an SS horn emblem.

We have a light blue with a white “Cabriolet” padded landau top 1976 Chevrolet Nova SS here at Skyway Classics that is a rare example of those Nova’s.

The heart of or SS is provided by a 165 net horsepower small block Chevrolet 350 cubic inch V8 engine that was the top performer for a ’76 Nova. Everything looks mostly factory stock from the black painted factory air cleaner, chrome valve covers, Power steering and power brakes, shifted by the automatic transmission and handled by a 10-bolt rear end, with all sitting in a factory looking engine compartment and chassis.

It rides on Rally Chevrolet factory wheels with black sidewall tires for that correct period look and stance.

Interior

The blue/white interior looks good and has a twin white full size split-bench seat with the pull down center armrest, and matching rear seat and door panels, black carpeting, factory gauge panel with woodgrain and factory gauges and controls, and chrome performance gauges, pushbutton radio system, blue seat belts, a matching blue steering Wheel, and a column shifter.

Exterior

The 1976 Nova body is painted in a lighter shade of blue exterior with the SS badges and offset by the white “Cabriolet” padded landau top and is a different look than all the red and black ones you see at most shows.

Take a close look at the chrome, trim, grille and rear panel, chrome front and rear bumpers, and you will see the originality and good looks of the Nova SS.

Conclusion

The 1976 Chevrolet Nova SS we have at Skyway Classics is the last year that Chevrolet made one of these so they are extremely rare and one you will cherish and enjoy.

It has the 350 cubic inch engine, Automatic Transmission, white top and interior, and is one of the few in the country you will ever see.

Come see it today.

Great Experience -
“ Great experience. Contacted Al on car that I was interested in. I flew in and checked out car and all was well. He even fixed a few extra items that needed attention as well. He delivered car prompt and all was great. Would recommend him for any of your classic car purchases. ”
