Mechanical

The rebuilt original dual overhead cam engine sits in the clean engine compartment and had a rebuild with standard main bearings, 6mm domed pistons, polished crank, and larger intake valves. It also has a complete stainless steel exhaust system, Weber 34ADF (original) carburetor, aluminum timing belt cover, aluminum coolant overflow tank, external thermostat, 7mm Spark Plug Wire set, new radiator and hoses, Electric Fan w/mounting hardware, a new Clutch, Pressure Plate & R-Bearing, and a High performance Ignition Coil (40,000 volts).

The suspension and running gear include a 5-speed manual transmission, Vogtland 124 Spider Lowering Springs, KYB Front & Rear shocks, Prima set of A-Arms, Front wheel bearing kit, Track Bar rear suspension, Upper and Lower rear trailing arms (94316 miles), Differential Oil change 80-90 Valvoline (94329 miles), New brake system (calibers & brake shoes, master cylinder, Parking brake rebuilt and adjusted, New Oil Pressure gauge sending unit, and all fluids changed.

It rides and handles well with 205/50/R15 Tires (excellent) and Autostrada Wheels as these Fiat Spiders are tight handling cars with well-balanced suspensions that love twisting roads.

Interior

One word sums up the interior. Impeccable. The black with the twin bucket seats, console and door panels look like new as it has a MOMO Prototipo Silver 370mm steering wheel (original steering wheel included), Jensen Bluetooth radio, new wood dash, new Clock and dash center trim, original ship knob, OMP Seatbelts, new rear view mirror, windshield wiper assembly, accelerator & pedal pads, black carpets and Fiat floor mats, and a new black convertible top.

Exterior

Our Fiat has a coat of new repaint of white paint that looks stunning as a real Italian sports car should. It will draw stares and compliments everywhere you will go.

It has Tribar halogen headlights, Abarth bumper set, a black convertible top, and this wonderful vintage roadster presents itself in the purest Italian style and the design looks far more expensive than it actually is.

It even has a restored trunk that is even usable that belies the car's size and suggests that the Italians knew how to travel.

Conclusion

The 1975 Fiat 124 Spyder we have here at Skyway Classics is an affordable way to get stunning coachwork, rugged Fiat mechanicals, top-down driving pleasure, and a highly collectable Italian Sports Car.
