1973 Plymouth Duster
Why This Car Is Special
The original Plymouth Duster was a semi-fastback two-door coupe version of the compact-sized Plymouth Valiant automobile that was marketed by Plymouth in the U.S. from 1970 to 1976 model years.
The 1973 Plymouth Duster we have at Skyway Classics is what Mopars muscle cars were all about back in that era, plenty of horsepower, great stance, and vibrant colors to give it an all- around cool look.
Mechanical
Ours has the very potent 340 cubic inch small block Mopar engine with all the right factory casting numbers like the engine casting # 2780930-340-7 built 9-10-1968, numbers matching 833-A Transmission casting # C99129 H, and the 8B172140) 8 ¾ Sure-Grip RearEnd with 3. 55:1 Gear Ratio.
It makes even more power as it has been modified with a Weiand intake, Holley carb, chrome alternator and chrome air cleaner and valve covers, MSD electronics and coil, Billet Distributor, tube headers flowing into a dual exhaust system with new Flowmaster mufflers.
It has power steering, power front disc brakes, rear drums, new rear shocks, new bushings, as it rides on blackwall performance tires and factory Rallye wheels.
Interior
The interior shows a great Green Interior consisting of a split front bench seat, Hurst floor shifter, dash mounted tachometer, factory steering wheel , aftermarket gauges under the dash, aftermarket Pioneer radio, factory door panels and seatbelts.
Exterior
Our 1973 has a beautiful exterior color of Sublime Green on its great body with nice fit and finish, the trim is good, contrasting flat black hood scoop and dual side stripes, new front bumper, and even the trunk is painted in body c with a spare tire and jack.
Conclusion
This 1973 Sublime Green Plymouth Duster we have at Skyway Classics looks great just like it was roaming the streets back in the 70’s with the potent 340 cubic inch engine backed by the four speed transmission.
