1922 Ford Model T Three Door Touring

Why This Car Is Special

The Ford Model T known in various names such as the "Tin Lizzie", "Leaping Lena", "Jitney" or "Flivver") was an automobile produced by Ford Motor Company from October 1, 1908, to May 26, 1927.

It is generally regarded as the first affordable automobile, which made car travel available to middle-class Americans. The relatively low price was partly the result of Ford's efficient fabrication, including assembly line production instead of individual hand crafting.

We have a restored 1922 Ford Model T Three Door Touring here at Skyway Classics that takes you back in time to when Henry Ford made all steel bodied cars with steel fenders.

It is also much of a documented world traveler as it as been in Copenhagen, Denmark, Umea, Sweden, Luela, Sweden, San Paulo, Brazil, Miami, Doral, Ft. Lauderdale, Sebring, and now Tampa, Florida.

It was first registered in Copenhagen and still has the original Dane Vehicle inspection plate on the car.

It has only been lovingly driven 474 kilometers since its restoration in Sweden in 1969!

Mechanical

Our Ford Model T Three Door Touring is a find indeed that is sound and in great condition that still retains a lot of rare-hard to find parts.

It has a 1926 version 177 cubic inch four cylinder motor with 11 horsepower as the original block was cracked during a winter season, has the factory intake manifold, exhaust manifold, one barrel carb and the Ford scripted valve cover, the natural earth magnets were re-energised 2 years ago, car will run on magneto with no water pump or oil pump.

It has had a recent front-to -rear mechanical refurbishment with the very early example of a "floating" engine oil level gauge.

The engine is backed by a Ford Model T band transmission which also functions very well in low and high forward and reverse.

Interior

It has a great black vinyl interior with matching front seat and rear seat redone in 1984, original black Ford steering wheel, wood floors with grips, black vinyl door panels, black painted dash with factory gauges, black top and factory style convertible top bows frame, 2 rearview mirrors, hand windshield wiper, kilo/speedo trip reset, battery disconnect switch, and the original "liters" gas gauge.

Exterior

The body panels and fenders all appear to be original 1922 Henry Ford American steel with 2 spare tires, ultra-rare early toggle switch turn signals and Hella road lamps, luggage rack, original european brake light, early side curtains. map light, and it rides on factory 12 spoke wooden wheels with blackwall tires.

This vehicle is in good mechanical condition and it runs and drives well. True miles on the car are unknown as model T's did not come with odometers. It is solid with respect to the overall mechanical condition as well as the overall cosmetic impression.

This Model T is well equipped including the large front windshield, factory manual choke, manual ignition advance lever, factory manual throttle lever, working "Ooga" horn, headlights, factory amperage gauge, factory Ford running boards and a factory style exhaust system.

Conclusion

If you have been looking but cannot find a very nice antique 1922 Ford Model T Three Door Touring, then the one we have here at Skyway Classics is the one for you.

Everywhere you will go, people will be giving you the thumbs up and smiling especially when you hit the "OOGA" horn!

It comes with saved original parts, new extras, repair manuals, and the current owners research documentation. It is a one-of-a-kind "T" with an amazing history.
