Bright Red & White 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible
Why This Car Is Special
The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang’s styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition.
This is a 1964 ½ Mustang we have here at Skyway Classics verified by the D-code in the VIN # 5F08D178786, is a very nice model with its stunning color combo of red paint over a black interior with a white convertible top.
Mechanical Specs
Our Mustang looks good in the factory correct gold paint on the black small block Ford engine block and copper colored valve covers and air cleaner. The engine bay is correctly detailed with decals on the inner fender panel and air cleaner, and stock looking parts including hoses, belts, and wiring.
It runs great and is backed by the manual transmission.
Interior
Standard equipment for the early 1964 1/2 Mustangs included front seat belts, a glove box light, and Mustang logo and a padded dashboard and this Mustang has a nice black interior, with correct seat covers over factory bucket seats, black carpet on the floor and matching door panels.
It has original seat belts, the white convertible top, three-spoke black Mustang steering wheel, factory gauges, radio system, black floor mats, and a chrome shifter on top of the floorboard.
Exterior
The red paint and bodywork is great with beautiful chrome bumpers, the stock grille insert with four bars surrounding the corral, and 289 and Mustang badges on both sides to tell everyone about the 289 V8 in the engine compartment, as well as a luggage rack out back.
