1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible
Why This Car Is Special
We have a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible here at Skyway Classics that was refinished in red and 442 trim and badging added during a 1990’s restoration.
Mechanical Specs
Our 1970 has an Oldsmobile Rocket 350 V8 engine that looks like it has the correct factory gold paint on the block, factory intake, and valve covers along with the 4-barrel carb, air cleaner, and most other factory correct, hoses, and wires.
It sits in a factory stock looking engine compartment and has a great startup sound to it with its dual exhaust system. that is paired with a floor-shifted three-speed automatic transmission and drives well with its power steering and brakes, and red color-keyed iconic factory painted N67 Super Stock wheels with white letter tires.
Interior
The saddle brown interior features front bucket seats, a center console with an armrest and storage compartment and the Hurst style shifter in the full-length factory console, woodgrain trim, and a rear bench seat. The brown carpeting is protected with floor mats, and 442 emblems have been added. A CB radio is mounted under the dashboard, and an aftermarket AM/FM cassette stereo has also been installed.
Features include a power-operated tan soft top, a two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of factory instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and black factory seat belts.
Exterior
The current owner purchased the car from its original owner in 1986 and subsequently had it refurbished as a gift for a family member in the red paint with the great chrome bumpers and stainless, and it is very classy looking.
Conclusion
The 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible in 442 Trim we have here at Skyway Classics would be a very nice collector car to cruise in and enjoy in our sunny state of Florida with the top down, or any state for that matter.
