Why This Car Is Special

The third-generation Mustang was produced by Ford from 1978 until 1993. It was built on Ford’s Fox platform and is commonly referred to as the Fox-body Mustang.

It evolved through a number of sub-models, trim levels, and drivetrain combinations during its production life and underwent updates for 1987 with aerodynamic composite headlamps and front fascia styling.

Horsepower ratings increased to 225 horsepower in 1987 and 300 ft⋅lb of torque with it being shifted by a 5 speed manual transmission.

The Fox body is well equipped and features power steering, power brakes, power windows, power top, BBK throttle body spacer, MSD ignition and high performance spark plug wires, aftermarket headers and dual exhaust, and rides on a set of black Mustang Cobra R style wheels with radial black wall low profile tires.

Interior

The GT has the black soft top mentioned earlier as well as a great Black/Gray two tone interior featuring twin bucket seats up front the matching rear seat, power locks, billet shift knob, Kenwood CD Stereo with Aux input to connect your devices, dash with all the factory gauges and stereo radio, center console and revised seat and door trim.

Exterior

Our 1987 is a Candy Apple Red Metallic paint with the front end restyled by Ford that year to look more like the SVO which gave the car more of an “Aero” look, in keeping with Ford’s overall modern styling direction. It has taillights with specific body-colored triple louvered lenses, round fog lamps, aerodynamic cladding and lower body side skirting, and a luggage rack on the trunk.
