Why This Car Is Special
We have a beautiful and extremely rare 1956 Ford Tudor Customline here at Skyway Classics that is like new from top to bottom after its restoration.
Mechanical
The badging on the front fender tells you what to expect when you open up the hood on this beauty. Ours had the period potent Ford 292 cubic-inch engine called the Thunderbird V8.
The 292 engine is era-correct and the block is painted red and it was one of the largest motors Ford offered back then. It wears stylish chrome valve covers, correct grey air filter assembly, factory red cast iron intake and carburetor, dual exhaust, and backed by the two-speed automatic transmission.
Interior
The two-tone Blue/White interior looks like a time machine. It matches the exterior and is exceptionally attractive with bright White seats and textured blue pattern inserts.
The carpeting, sun visors, headliner, dash, and all other essentials all look new as does the rear seats.
Exterior
The paint job is a two-tone Greenish/Blue and Colonial White that looks stunning and great with its sweeping chrome trim from front to rear and brightwork that visually separates the front and rear passenger compartments.
The trim shines as does the big chrome bumpers and it rides on factory steel wheels and Ford chrome hubcaps with fat whitewall tires, and has been badged with Fairlane and Victoria chrome emblems on the hood and sides.
It also has the right custom touches like fender skirts, antenna, the Continental kit with the dual exhaust coming out of the bumper.
