Why This Car Is Special

The 1953 Corvette was debuted by Chevrolet as it ventured into the two-seat USA Sports Car Market. Only 300 were ever built and while the performance left a lot to be desired with its “Blue Flame Six” powerplant, it has survived to become “America’s Sports Car.”

They continued to make these Corvettes in 1954, but still had the same power plant.

The Custom 1954 Corvette Resto-Mod Roadster we have here at Skyway Classics is a continuation of a 1954 Corvette, only with more modern power, braking and handling, and dependability, all in a beautiful 1954 Corvette body and interior.

Mechanical

Pop the hood and instead of a 6-cylinder, you will gaze down at a 400 cubic inch small block Chevrolet backed by a TH350 Automatic Transmission, and a Ford 9” axle turning 3:70 gears.

The engine has polished valve covers and K&N open air cleaner, aluminum intake with a performance carb and fuel lines, MSD electronics, exhaust headers and dual exhaust system, Aluminum radiator with fan, power steering and much more. It is sitting in a very clean and detailed engine compartment that you will have to come see.

It also has 16” American Racing wheels with black wall performance tires, and 4-wheel disc brakes slowing down this Hot Rod 54 Corvette. It will handle just as week too with the upgraded and modified suspension with all of it and the frame also being painted and detailed.

Interior

The interior of our 54 has a lot of the factory stock look but with a few things changed to compliment the look but also add to appearance and driving comfort.

The twin factory bucket seats are covered in bright red leather and it has matching red door panels, carpet, and dash. The dash has a full compliment of Autometer performance gauges, custom Corvette stereo radio system and speakers in the sides, a B&M Pro Ratchet shifter on the floor with a white ball shifter, a modern billet steering wheel, and a tan convertible top stowed in the back.

Exterior
Our Corvette features a brilliant red paint that you really have to see in person as well as excellent chrome and trim. It comes with a fiberglass hardtop in bright red paint to match the body too.
