Why This Car Is Special

The Ford Galaxie 500 XL we have here at Skyway Classics is a great looking and running example of an early sixties big block Ford muscle car. It has the power, comfort, and looks that you will love and enjoy cruising in.

Mechanical

Under the hood it has a 390cubic inch V8 engine that runs great and is as smooth as they come. It is stock with the exception of dual exhaust with an H-pipe and glass pack mufflers for a muscle car sound. It has the correct gold painted factory air cleaner assembly and “Power By Ford” valve covers and sits in a great painted and detailed engine compartment.

The power is routed through a 3-speed automatic transmission and out to a Ford 9” rear end. Dual electric fans have been added to keep this big block nice and cool. Power steering and power brakes make this full-size Ford a great cruiser.

Interior

A two-tone Blue vinyl interior looks great and compliments the paint color nicely. Bucket seats and a center console with the shifter on the floor sure make the inside feel more like a muscle car than anything else.

This Galaxie has seat belts to keep you and your passengers secured and added Autogage gauges to keep an eye on conditions under the hood. The interior of this car has a lot of chrome and stainless accents that give it a rich and sporty look.

An AM/FM/Cassette player has been added to keep you in charge of your favorite cruising tunes.

Exterior

This Galaxie looks great in its Deep Blue Metallic paint. The door handles have been shaved and the power antenna has been frenched in to bring a custom street rod feel to this beauty. The chrome wheels are wrapped in radial tires and look great.

Dual chrome exhaust tips exit under the rear bumper and not only look cool, but put out a sound that any classic car fan will appreciate.

Conclusion

It’s not everyday we take in a Galaxie XL 500 and this one will not last long at this price. You need to come see it to take in all the little things done to make this Ford just right for you.
