1966 Ford Mustang Coupe
Why This Car Is Special
The Mustang is known as the original Pony Car and are highly sought-after collectibles in every corner of the world. We have a great example with a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe here at Skyway Classics you will want to come see.
Mechanical
The 289 V8 engine is rated at 200 horsepower from the factory, but this car is not stock as it has several bolt-on parts to give it a boost. Those include a performance rebuilt carb sitting on an aluminum intake, chrome valve covers and Ford open element air cleaner with the correct 289 High Performance decal on the lid, air conditioning, chrome cross bar and shock tower brace, all sitting in a clean and detailed engine compartment.
Underneath you will find a chrome transmission pan, a smooth shifting C4 3-speed automatic transmission, power front disc brakes that provide plenty of stopping power, and a great sounding dual exhaust system with chrome tailpipes exiting out the back.
Interior
The interior is in incredible shape and has two-tone bucket seats with the shifter on the floor in the factory console. The headliner, visors, dash and door panels are great as is the beautiful three spoke steering wheel, radio and gauges.
The trunk is nicely finished off with the plaid mat and even has the fifth full size matching mag wheel and tire.
Exterior
This Mustang is incredibly clean and well detailed inside and out. It has a beautiful green paint color and all the body panels look right as well as the chrome bumpers and trim.
New mag wheels and performance black wall tires fit this first-generation Mustang very well and the rear valance allows the exhaust to exit through it.
