1974 Chevrolet Corvette

Why This Car Is Special
The 1974 Corvette like the one we have here at Skyway Classics was the first year for no chrome bumper, the last year for true dual exhaust and the last Corvette without a catalytic converter.

Mechanical
This Corvette looks like it has the original 350 cubic inch small block Chevy V8 engine under the hood that looks and runs fantastic. The 350 is rated at 195 horsepower from the factory and is clean and nicely painted in Chevrolet orange with factory components like the polished L82 type valve covers, cast iron exhausts, intake manifold, fresh air cleaner assembly, air conditioning, and all belts and hoses look factory great.

A Turbo 400 automatic transmission backs up the 350 V8 engine and shifts nice and smooth. 4-wheel power disc brakes provide plenty of stopping power for this Vette and it has new shocks, power brakes, power steering, and A/C.

Interior
Black vinyl bucket seats are split by the factory center console with the automatic shifter. A Sanyo aftermarket AM/FM radio cranks out the classic rock as you ride with the T-Tops on or off.

The interior looks as it did as it left the factory and looks great with the optional wood grain in the console and door panels, black carpet and dash, factory gauges and seatbelts.

There is plenty of storage behind the seats in this C3 Corvettes. The rear is carpeted with cubby holes which house the battery, and anything else you need to carry with you. There is also room enough for a suitcase or folding chairs for attending car shows in your new classic.

Exterior
The Corvette we have is painted in a pretty shade of Medium Blue which was the factory color and looks great. It rides on factory Rally wheels that are wrapped with General White Letter radial tires and are a classic muscle car tire and wheel choice.

Conclusion
The 1974 Corvette like the one we have here at Skyway Classics was the start of a new era for Corvette and these 74-82 Vettes are climbing in value every day.
