Why This Car Is Special
This sporty 1966 Fairlane GT we have at Skyway Classics is a real-deal “S” Code 390 GT. This car was advertised by Ford as the sporty version, but ours is a little more sporty than it was stock with the engine now upgraded to 428 cubic inches.

Mechanical Specs
Even though the engine and compartment appears to have the stock 390, ours now has a built and modified and correctly Ford blue painted 428 cubic inch performance engine backed by a Top-Loader 4-speed transmission.

It has cast Cobra finned aluminum chrome valve covers, performance spark plug wires, chrome air cleaner with the 390 GT
Engine decal to fool people into think it is not as quick as it really is, Milodon performance oil pan, electronic ignition, headers, and dual exhaust with Dyna Flow mufflers and a cross-over pipe.

The undercarriage is all black painted, structurally sound, and has 4-wheel disc brakes, aluminum radiator, and it rides on Cragar 17” polished mag wheels with black wall tires.

Interior
The bucket seat interior appears as stock with center console with chrome 4-speed shifter and white shifter ball, factory gauges and aftermarket tach, seat belts and aqua vinyl upholstery, red safety lights in the interior door panels, seat belts, Kenwood AM/FM Stereo radio with remote and rear speakers, and factory tinted glass.

Exterior
Our GT has a super factory correct White paint job that covers straight panels, has the black GT side stripes, hood scoops, and 390 GT badging. The bright work and chrome is in very good condition, as are drip moldings, and window moldings.

This 1966 Fairlane GT we have at Skyway Classics is a great Ford muscle car that is a real factory color, S Code, GT with the factory insurance card, original Owners Manual, original Owners Certificate, and original Letter Of Insurance, so it has the right documents and provenance to back it up!
