Mechanical
Our 1961 Corvette has an upgraded 330 horsepower 350 cubic inch V8 Engine with the 4-Speed Manual Transmission. It has the engine block, heads, an intake painted in Chevy racing orange, chrome air cleaner, black finned aluminum valve covers, chrome alternator, HEI distributor, ram's horn factory Corvette exhaust manifolds and the dual exhaust system, Power Brakes, QuadraJet 4-Barrel Carburetor, Modern Air Conditioning, and an Electric Fan with it sitting in a restored and very detailed engine compartment looking like you just drove this Corvette off the showroom floor.
It rides on period correct looking White Wall Radial Tires and "Spinner" Style Full Wheel Covers to give it the correct look, ride, and stance.
Interior
Coordinated black buckets are the right choice with our Corvettes black twin bucket seats that have a comfortable, inviting look, matching door panels, factory dash and instrument panel with the factory full array of gauges, including a correct tachometer mounted atop the steering column, the 4-speed shifter on the floor with its white shifter ball, pushbutton radio, clock, black carpeting, crossed flags floor mats, black smaller diameter steering wheel, grab handle, rear view mirror, with all in great restored shape.
And, we know it's odd seeing a trunk lid on a Corvette, but our 1961 has one with a nicely finished cargo bay and carpet as well as it having a white vinyl soft top.
Exterior
The 1961 Corvette was a sneak-preview of the upcoming 1963 Stingray and offered the slick ducktail rear end and the round taillights that are a Corvette trademark to this day.
Ours has the rare two-tone Honduras Maroon paint with White side coves paint scheme that emphasizes the Corvettes dramatic curves and sharp creases.
The fiberglass is in great shape, it has the chrome front and rear bumpers, side cove trim, Corvette badging, Gorgeous Stainless Trim Work, New Glass, a chrome Driver's Mirror, and immaculate Chrome Work.
