Mechanical

Our 1969 Z28 Camaro has the coveted DZ Z28 engine underrated from the factory at 290 horsepower @ only 5800 rpm, but it will rev past 7,000 rpm!

The original 302 cubic inch V8 engine is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, a cowl-induction air cleaner assembly, ceramic-coated exhaust headers, finned valve covers, power steering and brakes, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle. A replacement dual exhaust system with mufflers has been installed.

The engine sits in a clean and detailed engine compartment and it has documented pictures of parts numbers and such documented in a folder that goes with the sale. Our Z28 rides on Silver-finished 15″ Rally wheels that wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with BF Goodrich T/A white-letter tires.

Interior

The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in white vinyl and joined by a color-coordinated headliner, sun visors, and door panels. Details include a center console, woodgrain trim, a Hurst shifter, heater, and a updated stereo radio system, teakwood steering wheel, 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and an electric clock.

Additional gauges mounted in the center console display fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery voltage.

Exterior

The car was finished from the factory in Tuxedo Black (10-10) with white stripes and is said to have been repainted under prior ownership. Exterior details include a cowl-induction hood, Z/28 and Rally Sport badging, hideaway headlamps, front and rear spoilers, quarter panel vents, reverse lights, rear bumper guards, and chrome bumpers along with polished rocker-panel and wheel-arch moldings.

Conclusion

This real-deal 1969 Camaro Z28 we have at Skyway Classics is in pristine condition, runs perfect, perfectly clean paint, interior, floor pans, frame and drivetrain and authenticated and verified with a folder full of pictures with part numbers shown. Collectors will rank this 1969 Z28 Camaro we have as one of the top cars to have in your collection of all Camaros.
