This 1957 Buick Special convertible is finished in white over red vinyl and is powered by a 364ci Nailhead V8 engine paired with a Dynaflow two-speed automatic transmission. Mechanical

Our 57 has the 364 cubic inch Buick “Nailhead” V-8 engine in it that was factory rated at 250 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. It has most all original components like the snorkel type air cleaner, valve covers, Automatic Transmission, power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at all four corners, and all sitting in the very clean, detailed engine compartment.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Dynaflow two-speed automatic transmission and rolls on red 15″ steel wheels wear polished Buick covers and are mounted with whitewall tires.

Interior

The cabin is upholstered in red and features both front and rear vinyl-trimmed bench seats with pleated inserts. Equipment includes a Wonderbar push-button radio, a heater/defroster, lap belts, and an analog clock mounted above the locking glovebox.

The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for engine temperate, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level.

Exterior

The car is finished in Dover White with a matching convertible top and chrome sweepspears with orange inserts. Additional exterior details include a hood ornament, three ventiports on the front fenders, rear tail fins, a single chrome side mirror, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumper.
