Mechanical
The 327 cubic inch what we believe to be L79 V8 features an aftermarket Edelbrock Pro-Flo electronic fuel-injection system in place of the factory Holley carburetor. It has an aluminum intake, finned aluminum valve covers, chrome open element air cleaner, tube headers, red performance spark plug wires, and shifting is through a 4-speed manual transmission.
It looks like brand new in the engine compartment as does the rest of the presentation on our 67.
Interior
Your first venture inside a ’67 Corvette will convince you that here’s a cockpit luxuriously rigged for two. The restored correct red all-leather bucket seats have the grain look of real leather with foam-cushioned seats that are bordered by narrow front and side bolsters that let you ride deep and comfortably.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts the instrument cluster, which features a 7k-rpm tachometer and 160-mph speedometer. The control unit for the Edelbrock fuel injection system is housed in the glovebox.
Our Corvette’s instrument panel is a devotee’s delight. Safety-padded covered and replete with those instruments so important to the serious driver.
It has color-keyed red carpeting covers every inch of exposed floor area, a console that houses the 4-speed shifter, red door panels, red visors, and all is in original looking restored condition.
Exterior
Our 67 looks has been restored and repainted in Rally Red with great chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome mirror, and the iconic gas cap on the top rear.
The Rally Red paint job looks super on the body with its retractable headlights, the front fender louver design, and is set off by the black convertible top, wide back-up lights centered in the rear panel, and the addition of a 1967 Corvette Big Block Stinger hood, ours rides on custom Billet Specialties chrome mag wheels and black sidewall tires.
Conclusion
This restored back 1967 Corvette Convertible we have here at Skyway Classics is a top shelf collector Corvette. The 327 cubic inch fuel injected engine and 4-speed with red exterior & interior and black convertible top, elevates it to one of the highest levels of collectability.
