The Ford Thunderbird is a rear wheel drive automobile which was manufactured by Ford in the United States over eleven model generations from 1955 through 2005. The Thunderbird created a market niche that eventually became known as the personal luxury car.

For 1964 the Thunderbird was restyled in favor of a more squared-off appearance, which was mostly evident when viewing the car from the side or rear. Hinting at its roots in the previous generation Thunderbird that it evolved from, the new model retained a similar grille design with quad headlights.

Mechanical

As stated earlier these Birds came with the powerful 390 cubic-inch V8 engine with the four-barrel carburetor, blue painted valve covers, gold air cleaner assembly, and an engine compartment what looks like it was back in 1964. Everything looks factory correct like the fan shroud, shock tower covers, and other parts too.

The V8 fires up easily and has a great exhaust note out the rear dual exhaust system. Options and features include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, chrome wire wheels with spinners on painted wheels with white sidewall tires.

Interior

The gorgeous light blue interior really completes the blue on blue theme with dual bucket seats, power windows, a complete set of factory gauges including a speedometer and other gauges in the dash, controls for the AM/FM radio and factory air conditioning rest in the chrome/white center console, with light blue matching carpet. This interior and the whole car exudes luxury like no other car had back in 1964!

Exterior

The Bird is painted in the subtle light blue flowing over the sleek TBird styling with great chrome trim, chrome front bumper, chrome front and rear bumpers, which all combines with its classic lines that still look sleek today.

The trunk is restored and looks as it did with mats and a full size spare tire too.
