The 1955 Chevrolet, sometimes referred to as '55 Chevy, is an automobile that was made by Chevrolet in 1955. It is considered a huge turning point for the manufacturer and was a major success.

We have a restored 1955 Chevrolet here at Skyway Classics that is a very nice build with its big block 454 cubic inch Chevrolet engine, 4- wheel disc brakes, load of performance and comfort items, gleaming black and silver exterior, custom black interior, and big 18 inch chrome Ridler custom Chrome wheels.

You will appreciate the huge Chevy big-block 454 cubic inch V-8 residing under the hood as it is a showpiece all on its own with it incorporating the aluminum intake, performance carb, chrome Chevrolet open element air cleaner assembly, polished “The Heartbeat Of America” inscribed valve covers, performance fuel plumbing, modified MSD electronics and distributor, power steering, Automatic overdrive transmission, 4- wheel disc brakes, Aluminum Radiator, headers, and a 9-inch Ford rear end.

Interior

The black leather interior is handsome with black bench seat and matching rear seat, black carpeting, Lokar shifter, Ididit tilt steering column, Aftermarket steering wheel, as well as the factory dash with Classic instrument gauges.

Even the trunk has been redone with a full vinyl set of panels with “55 Chevy” stitched into the middle panel across the back of the cargo area.

Exterior

Our 1955 Chevrolet is a particularly fine example of craftmanship that has went into this show car. The first thing you will notice is the paint scheme.

Tastefully sprayed in black and silver with chrome front and rear bumpers, shiny trim and spears, contribute to setting the car apart from the pack, and new chrome 18” Ridler mag wheels and black sidewall performance rubber give it just the right stance.
