1966 Ford Mustang Red Convertible
Why This Vehicle is Special
The first generation Mustangs created a whole new type of car that America was waiting for, the Pony Car.
It had styling with a long hood and short deck, was sporty, and was in the buying range that a lot of people, both you and old could buy.
The 1966 red Mustang convertible we have here at Skyway Classics has had a fresh total restoration and has a 289 Hi-Po V8 backed by a 5-speed transmission, Disc brakes, Power Steering, Power Top, and a black Pony interior, and is also a great buy for all you collectors.

It sits in the clean and detailed engine compartment looking just as it would have back in that period and is backed by a 5-speed manual transmission, and even has a FOMOCO windshield water bag in it.
The interior is all restored and looks as nice as it did when it was brand new. It has new Pony interior featuring the factory twin black Mustang vinyl buckets up front and the matching black rear seat, factory das with Rare Rally Pac Gauges, Factory Tach, Mustang three spoke wood sport steering wheel, a new Power Top, Custom Auto Sound Stereo, woodgrain trim on the dash and in the stainless floor console that holds the chrome 5-speed shifter, black carpet and floor mats, and black matching door panels.
The trunk has also been given a factory look with the factory correct trunk mat and the full-size spare tire too.
Our Mustang has that bright red paint job on those iconic Mustang lines and accented by the lower side chrome trim, blacked out grille and out back the unique fuel filler cap on the panel between the tail lamps, with dual exhaust exiting underneath.
Our Mustang cruises down the road great with its disc brakes and power steering while riding on new factory black sidewall tires totally giving it the classic pony car look.
The 1966 Red Mustang convertible we have here at Skyway Classics has great looks, outstanding performance, and it is one of those Mustangs that have become as collectable as any other car, and probably more so in the future.
