1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble-Top
Why This Car Is Special
The Chevrolet Impala is a full-size car built by Chevrolet for model years 1958 and up and was Chevrolet's most expensive passenger model through 1965 to become the best-selling automobile in the United States back then.
The Impala was restyled on the GM B platform for the first time for 1961. The new body styling was more trim and boxy than the 1958–1960 models and the Sport Coupe models featured a "bubbletop" roof line style for 1961.
