Under the hood of this 1970 Chevelle SS is a #3999290 casting number 396 cubic inch big block engine and Turbo-Hydamatic automatic transmission.

It has the engine block, heads, and intake painted in Chevrolet Racing Orange with a 4-barrel performance carb, power disc brakes, exhaust headers flowing back to the dual exhaust, factory open air element Cowl Induction air cleaner with chrome lid and 396 decal, and power steering.

The engine bay is highly detailed as is the chassis with the dual exhaust running out under the rear bumper thru chrome tips on each side and add in and the good grip of wide BF Goodrich Radial TA raised white letter tires mounted on the factory 5-spoke SS wheels, and you get this big block which is a true driver’s machine.

Interior

The restored black bucket seats with headrest and matching rear seat interior looks as new and everything looks correct and just like it came from the factory back in 1970.

It has the pushbutton radio in the great black factory dash housing the round gauge package that includes the 120 MPH speedometer, chrome automatic in the factory center console, tri-spoke steering wheel, matching black carpet, door panels, and rear seat, and black floor mats.

The result is a Chevelle SS that feels like a time piece as it is in excellent condition top to bottom.

Exterior

Our Chevelle is finished in great red paint flowing over the cowl induction hood with the black SS stripes and hood pins, slick panels, blacked-out grille, bulging fenders, and the black power convertible top.

The chrome bumpers, wheel arch trim, Chevelle and SS 454 badging really look great and draw people to the car at shows or even gas stations, and even the chassis looks good too.
