1972 Ford
Mach 1
1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback
Why This Car Is Special
The Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a performance-oriented option package of the Ford Mustang, originally introduced by Ford in August 1968 as a package for the 1969 model year. The Mach 1 title adorned performance-oriented Mustang offerings until the original retirement of the moniker in 1978.
It is not often that you can find a 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with an upgraded performance 429 cubic inch engine, Ram Air hood, fat tires and wheels, Red paint, and a black bucket seat interior. But we have one here at Skyway Classics.

The 429 looks factory correct with its blue painted air cleaner system, finned aluminum valve covers, aluminum intake, aluminum heads, 4-barrel carb, performance exhausts, on the blue painted Ford block.
It rides on the correct chrome Ford factory styled wheels with black sidewall performance tires.

Our Mach has a great red paint job on the body especially on one of the most recognizable features of the '71-'73 Mustangs, the optional NACA (NASA) hood design with dual scoops.
The ram-air hood has a two-tone red/black hood paint treatment in 'matte black' coordinated to the base color of the Mach 1 and its decals and striping
