Amazing and Aggressive 1969 Camaro Pro-Mod

History The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared at Chevrolet dealerships in September 1966, and for the 1967 model year on a brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform. It was available as a 2-door, 2+2 seat, hardtop or convertible with a choice of six-cylinder and V8 power plants. The first-generation Camaro was built through the 1969 model year. Almost all of 1967-1969 Camaros were built in the two U.S. assembly plants: Norwood, Ohio and Van Nuys, California.

The 1969 Camaro carried over the previous year's drivetrain and major mechanical components, but all-new sheet metal, except the hood and trunk lid, gave the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with a heavy "V" and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider, more aggressive look. This styling would serve for the 1969 model year only.

Collectors often debate the merits of smooth, rounded lines of 1967 and 1968 model versus the heavily creased and sportier looks of the 1969.

Features & Options You can decide for yourself when you see the fabulous award winning 1969 Camaro Pro Mod we have here at Skyway Classics. The first thing you will notice is the attention getting paint scheme with the hot House Of Color Orange Cream over Cream look, SS and RS front end with the hidden lights, cowl induction hood, and high dollar huge custom Billet Specialties wheels and tires.

Then you will start looking at all the other things this Camaro has going for it. Like the Gray Suede Leather Combo interior that runs all the way thru the trunk. It includes fully customized dash with gauge clusters of Autometer gauges, Bluetooth Screen, Billet Tilt Steering wheel with a polished center column, and a keypad entry system.

The Camaro rides on performance suspension coilover shocks and springs, Heidts suspension parts, Power Wilwood 6-piston vented disc brakes, performance rear end, dual exhaust, ladder bars, and sooooo much more. But the heart of this Camaro is the power plant, a huge 540 cubic inch performance engine. It has an Edelbrock manifold fed by a Quick Fuel System, headers, billet valve covers and air cleaner, cam and kit, performance heads and ignition. The engine is cooled by a high-volume radiator and serpentine belt drive system and the interior by a polished air conditioning unit.

All this sits in a body color matched painted engine compartment with chrome hood hinges and many other accessories. The power is processed to the rear by a 5-speed Tremec Transmission.
