Mechanical

Under the hood of this 1970 Chevelle SS is its #512 casting number 454 cubic inch LS5 engine with an aluminum intake, 4-barrel carb, disc brakes up front with drums in the rear, exhaust headers flowing back to the dual exhaust, blue performance spark plug wires, factory open air element air cleaner with chrome lid and 450 HP decal, power steering, power brakes, and chrome valve covers.

The engine bay is highly detailed as is the chassis with the dual exhaust running out under the rear bumper thru chrome tips on each side, and the 3-speed automatic transmission that runs to a 12-bolt rear end.

Add in and the good grip of wide black sidewall tires mounted on the Custom chrome 5-spoke wheels, 12-bolt rear end, front and rear sway bars, and you get this big block which is a true driver’s machine.

Interior

The restored blue bucket seats with headrest and matching rear seat interior looks as new and everything looks correct and just like it came from the factory back in 1970.

It even has the pushbutton in the great factory dash housing the tachometer and other gauges, chrome automatic shifter in the center console, tri-spoke steering wheel, matching blue carpet, door panels, and rear seat.

The result is a Chevelle SS that feels like a time piece as it is in excellent condition top to bottom.

Exterior

Our Chevelle is finished in great new Blue PPG Paint flowing over the cowl induction hood with the white SS stripes and hood pins, slick panels, blacked-out grille, and the bulging fenders.

The chrome bumpers, wheel arch trim, Chevelle and SS 454 badging really look great and draw people to the car at shows or even gas stations, and even the chassis looks super clean too.

On top is the new super white convertible to round out the whole package.
