Mechanical

This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette is a superbly executed nut-and-bolt restoration driven just 2000 miles since its completion. It is one of only 118 built with the optional RPO 353 283/275 horsepower small-block Chevy engine with Rochester Ram Jet fuel injection, which added a hefty $484 to the Corvette’s base price of $3,934.

It is equipped with engine-number 1103207 F1105CR and Rochester fuel-injection unit number 132 and boasts an exceptionally clean engine compartment and undercarriage in addition to its excellent exterior and pristine interior.

It retains the correct look with its factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, air cleaner, valve covers and sits in a restored and very detailed engine compartment with all the factory components looking like you just drove this Corvette off the showroom floor and backed by a four-speed manual factory 4-speed manual transmission.

Interior

The restored red leather bucket seat interior is also just like a time capsule with all the correct red leather bucket seats, red steering wheel, red dash with all working factory gauges and instrumentation, Wonder Bar radio, red grab handle, rear view mirror, clock and radio, all in great shape.

Exterior

As stated earlier, this 1961 Corvette was a body off restoration and the color scheme is iconic Corvette: Red with White side coves, a red interior and white vinyl soft top.

It has wide whitewall tires and stainless-steel full-size wheel covers that are indispensable to the Corvette look of the period. Presented in excellent overall condition, this 1961 Corvette presents as one would have seen it fresh off the showroom floor, and probably better looking.

Conclusion

The 1961 Corvette was the fastest and best handling Corvette made to date and to some it was the pinnacle of Corvettes in that era and beyond.

You must come see the restored 1961 Chevrolet Corvette that was frame off restored and has the red interior, 4-speed, has only two-thousand miles since it went through a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration, only one of 118 with the fuel injected 283/275 HP engine #1103207 F1105CR, Rochester fuel injection no. 2132, 4-speed transmission, and painted in Red with White coves, and White soft top.

“ Great experience. Contacted Al on car that I was interested in. I flew in and checked out car and all was well. He even fixed a few extra items that needed attention as well. He delivered car prompt and all was great. Would recommend him for any of your classic car purchases. ”
