1956 Chevrolet Corvette
Why This Car Is Special
Early C1 Corvettes, like the gorgeous 1956 Corvette we have here at Skyway Classics, are skyrocketing in price on the collector car market, and this example is certainly one you need to consider.
If you want something that still looks, smells, feels, and drives like a real, honest solid-axle Corvette, this is the right car for you. It has been kept at a high level, with the great color combination of silver with white coves and a red interior, has what we believe to be the original numbers matching F code #991 casting number rebuilt engine, and all the stock parts that have been replaced come with the car.

After reinstalling the engine and transmission they adjusted the valves, set timing, adjusted idle settings, filled engine oil with engine break in lubricant, filled the transmission with fully synthetic manual transmission lubricant, removed the large clutch return spring to allow new style crutch to function properly, and adjusted the clutch and shift linkage.
It has dual 4-barrel carbs under the two chrome air cleaners, chrome distributor shielding, ram's horn factory Corvette exhaust manifolds and the dual exhaust system and sits in a restored and very detailed engine compartment with all the factory components looking like you just drove this Corvette off the showroom floor.
It is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission that shifts perfectly and rides on steel wheels with the correct chrome spinner hubcaps and wide white sidewall tires to give it the correct look, ride, and stance.
Interior
The red interior was thoroughly restored and looks as new with the red twin bucket seats, red carpeting and floor mats, matching door panels, big three-spoke steering wheel, white painted dash with its full compliment of gauges including the speedometer, the secondary gauges including the central-mounted tachometer, the 4-speed on the floor, pushbutton radio in the center of the dash, rear view mirror, with all in great shape.

Exterior
Our Corvette has the silver paint job that showcases the C1 early car styling with single headlights and contrasting white side coves, small hood scoops, iconic toothy front grill, great rear with its exhaust coming out the rear bumpers.
Finish quality is good and its paint scheme emphasizes the Corvettes dramatic curves and sharp creases.
Conclusion
The 1956 Corvette we have here at Skyway Classics is your chance to buy an iconic Corvette, that some feel was the best looking Corvette made back then.
It has the rebuilt engine with the dual 4's, a 4-speed, bright red interior, and both tops, convertible and hard top, it doesn't get any better than that.
