1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454
Why This Car Is Special
We have one powerful 1970 SS 454 Chevelle here at Skyway Classics with a sinister black paint scheme.
This Chevelle has been restored and is in a very desirable color combination of black/black and not much looks sexier than that on a 1970 Chevelle.
When you add a cowl induction hood with white stripes it puts it on another level and SS badging in the grill and on the fenders are a great way to draw people to the car at shows, gas stations, or anywhere you park it, it will get attention.

Mechanical
Our Chevelle has a high horsepower big-block Chevrolet 454 cubic inch engine in the very clean and detailed engine compartment. It gets the fuel from its performance Holley four-barrel carburetor and aluminum intake, cold air induction air cleaner assembly, aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, has a great idle with the performance cam, exhales the gases with a roar thanks to the tube headers that feed the dual exhaust system and chrome tips.
The engine looks as great as it runs with the bright orange Chevrolet painted block, chrome Chevrolet valve covers, performance hoses and plumbing, MSD box and spark plug wires, and factory chrome open element air cleaner.
The engine compartment and the chassis shows the love that has been put into it with how clean everything is as well as having a four-speed manual transmission, power steering, and power front disc brakes, and the 12-bolt rear end car.
Interior
The interior is in excellent condition top to bottom with dual black vinyl bucket seats, matching rear seat and door panels, a Chevrolet AM/FM stereo system, correct factory gauges in the pristine dash including a factory 5500 RPM tachometer and clock, factory steering wheel, center console with the 4-speed chrome shifter with a white shifter ball, and black carpet and floor mats.
The trunk has as good a presentation as the rest of the car too with its grey mats and full size spare tire and wheel.
Exterior
Our Chevelle is painted in Tuxedo Black paint and looks very sinister with the cowl induction hood with the white SS stripes, super straight factory panels, blacked-out grille, chrome bumpers, wheel arch trim, and Chevelle SS badging.
It rides on wide Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTS Radial tires mounted on the factory 5-spoke SS wheels to give it the correct factory look and stance.
Conclusion
The black with white stripes 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 we have here at Skyway Classics are immensely popular cars and none are so much highly sought after as the 1970 model big block 454 V8's.
1970 Chevelles do not sit very long here, and this one will be no exception to that rule. Call now or you will miss out on this beautifully restored Chevelle.
