The 4.6-liter V8 is original to the vehicle and received a full Stage-3 upgrade package by Roush, increasing the horsepower to 415-horsepower. Installed upgrades include a Roush supercharger, an intercooler, a free flow intake manifold, a high-flow cold air intake, a larger radiator, and an ECU tune with it sitting in the as new engine compartment.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and the car has Dual Exhaust, Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Traction Control, and rolls on custom 20” RR04 forged wheels mounted to Cooper Zeon ZR-rated performance tires on all four corners.
The ride height is an inch lower than a standard Mustang GT through the use of Roush performance lowering springs, and the braking system consists of OEM Ford components.
Interior
The interior is fitted with two-tone black and red leather bucket seats with embroidered Roadster logos. The dash, center stack, and console were upgraded with carbon-fiber trim, while additional features include Roush door sill plates, and embroidered floor mats.
Instrumentation includes white-face gauges with electroluminescent backlighting for the 140-mph speedometer and the 8k-rpm tachometer, with additional gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 2018 miles which are original to the vehicle.
It also has a Hurst short throw shifter with a Roush shift knob in the center console, power windows, power mirrors, keyless entry and power locks, air conditioning, and speed control.
Exterior
The Mustang is finished in Redfire Red and Black two-tone and retains the original paint applied at the Roush facility in Livonia, Michigan. Starting with a standard Mustang GT convertible, the car was sent to Roush, where it received the transformation treatment, including full repaint with accenting gloss-black for the hood and decklid with a silver accent stripe.
A roll bar was installed under the power convertible top, and a four-piece aero package was installed, consisting of a front fascia with lower valance fog lamps, chin spoiler, hood scoop, and rear decklid spoiler. Roush badging is found on the fenders while “Roadster” scripts are found along the doors and decklid.
