Back in the '40s and '50s Chevrolet built what was then called Classic Advance Design trucks. Later, like the 2005 Chevrolet SSR we have here at Skyway Classics, Chevrolet built a new concept truck with a retro-style design that has V8 power, sports car handling, and a unique look that has become a classic in its own right.

Ours is like new with only 9159 miles on it and it shows it too.

Our 2005 SSR has the Corvette's LS2 fuel-injected V8 engine and a six-speed manual transmission with 390 horsepower, that was a 30% upgrade in power over the previous year.

It all looks factory stock in a clean and detailed engine compartment with all the correct factory components like air conditioning, power steering, sports suspension with rear sway bar and rolls on shiny chrome American Racing chrome wheels.

Interior

The black interior is the perfect complementing color for an ultra-desirable double black package that came from the factory. It has sculpted bucket seats, a color-matched center console, power windows, power locks, power seats, power mirrors, cruise control, key-less entry, ice-cold air conditioning, heated seats, and stereo radio system.

Our SSR also has the 1SB Optional Package which included per the 2005 Chevy SSR sales brochure, Auto-dimming inside rearview mirror with Homelink, Reading lamps with halo lighting, Dual power, heated exterior mirrors with driver-side auto dimming, Heated seats with driver memory seat feature, Bose speaker system with 250-watt amplifier and AudioPilot noise suppression, Six-disc, in-dash CD changer, Cargo organizer (soft-sided boxes), and a Cockpit windbreak.

Exterior

Our SSR retro machine has a legendary curvy style with modern streamlining covered with slick factory black paint that has the original deep luster since it only has 9159 pampered miles. It also has Personal Protection Film on the front end and custom pin striping.

Chevrolet trucks in the 1950s had a lot of chrome and stainless and they carried over that retro theme as well machine as there is plenty of bright work on the grille, door handles, and the running boards with shiny chrome mag wheels alloys for an extra aggressive stance.

The top works with a touch of the button and the folding hardtop then disappears behind the seats making this a convertible pickup with a truck bed to boot.

Conclusion
