1965 F100 Custom Cab Pickup Truck
Why This Car Is Special
The 1965 F100 Custom Cab pickup truck we have here at Skyway Classics is one of the iconic trucks and a pinnacle of the heavily stylized 60's F-series trucks.
It is a very nice restored piece but has a modified and upgraded drivetrain a muscle car and is painted Arcadian Blue and Wimbledon White paint, which is correct for this truck, it has a great pastel look that was probably a great choice in the mid-1960s.
Mechanical
The top engine in 1965 was a 352 cubic inch V8 but ours has been upgraded with a performance built 390 cubic inch big block engine and a ton of parts and accessories on it including aluminum heads, aluminum intake, Holley performance carb, MSD ignition box, performance spark plug wires, big air breather, chrome open element air cleaner, power steering and brakes, and more and is backed by a column shifted automatic transmission and a sturdy rear end.
It is dressed in Ford Blue and looks great in the painted and detailed engine compartment while its easy to drive and rides well with the Twin I-Beam front suspension soaking up the bumps.
It has chrome wheels and center caps with raised white letter Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires that give it a great footprint and fill the fenders.
Interior
The bright blue/white bench seat interior looks fresh with a snug fitting seat cover on the original bench, heavy-duty floor covering, lots of chrome on the instrument panel, a handsome black steering wheel, engine-turned dash panel surrounds the primary gauge panel, with secondary controls in a neat row underneath.
It also has the blue/white vinyl door panels that match the exterior with an upgraded Craig AM/FM stereo radio system in the dash for better sounds while you are cruising.
Exterior
Our Ford Pickup has the great two-tone blue paint on the lower side panels and top with the white on the hood and continuing along the top side of the truck.
It has a nice shine and a great overall look with great chrome trim and badging, grille, stainless, and a black painted bed.
Conclusion
The 1965 F100 Custom Cab pickup truck we have here at Skyway Classics is a neat truck for Ford fans with the great old styling and plenty of power too.
