1989 CHEVROLET
SILVERADO
Solid and Beautiful 1989 Chevrolet Silverado
History The C/K was Chevrolet and GMC's full-size pickup truck line from 1960 until 2000 in the United States, from 1965 to 1999 in Canada, from 1964 to 2001 in Brazil, and from 1975 to 1982 in Chile. The first Chevrolet pickup truck was introduced in 1924, though in-house designs did not appear until 1930.
In 1989, the Silverado was a trim level of the Chevy C/K Pickup. The "C" denoted two-wheel drive and the "K" denoted four-wheel drive. The model size was also part of the name, with 1500 indicating half a ton, 2500 for three-quarters of a ton and 3500 for one ton. Of the three trim levels -- Cheyenne, Scottsdale and Silverado -- the Silverado was the top of the line. And that is the truck we have here at Skyway Classics, a 1989, bright red with matching red interior, 1500 Chevy Truck.
Features & Specs The very nice red cloth interior of the 1989 C/K 1500 has a seating capacity of three. The headroom in the truck was 40 inches, the shoulder room was 66 inches and the legroom was 41.7 inches. This 1988 Chevy Silverado has a very clean engine compartment with a V8 and a four-speed automatic transmission.
The Silverado can be identified by its chrome grille, which does not appear on other trims. Chrome bumpers and chrome mirrors were also a Silverado option. The truck's interior was either brushed aluminum or wood grain. The headliner, carpeting and an instrument panel with a full set of gauges were standard.
Availability This nice 1989 Chevy 1500 4WD Z-71 we have here at Skyway Classics also has a nice bed cover and a MagnaFlow exhaust system on top of everything else. A very nice 4WD truck that won't empty your pocketbook like a new model would.
