Beautiful Black 1964 Chevrolet C-10 Stepside Truck

The C/K, of which the C10 was included, was Chevrolet and GMC's full -size pickup truck line from 1960 until 2000 in the United States. The first Chevrolet pickup truck was introduced in 1924, though in-house designs did not appear until 1930. "C" indicated two-wheel drive and "K" indicated four-wheel drive.

Actual badging on Chevrolet trucks carried the series name system from the previous generation in 1960 and 1961: the 10, 20, 30, and 40 series (C and K) were badged as "Apaches", 50 and 60 series trucks were badged as "Vikings", and the largest 70 and 80 series models were marked "Spartans". In 1960, C/K trucks were available in smooth "Fleetside" or fendered "Stepside" versions. GMC called these "Wide-Side" and "Fenderside."

The 1960, 1961, and 1962 models used torsion bar front suspensions, with trailing arm suspension rears. Trim lines were base and "Custom." Engines included the base GMC 305 in V6 for the GMC version, 135 hp 236 in, and 150 hp 261 in straight-6s, and a 283 in V8 with 185 hp.

Don't worry about all that anemic power though, because the 1964 C10 Stepside we have at Skyway Classics is a completely restored and upgraded version of those trucks.

When you look closely at the pictures of this black beauty you will see the transplanted Chevy V8 350 small block crate engine modified with Edelbrock accessories, performance distributor, headers, performance ignition and plug wires, a mild cam, shift kit and air conditioning. This is a very tidy and clean engine bay.

The interior is all changed with a black and red full bench seat (separate fold down center section folds down into console and looks like buckets), performance gauge dash, B&M shifted automatic transmission, custom speaker system, and painted door panels. The step side bed is great looking with its wood slat inserts covering a 12 bolt rear end and modified suspension, along with side exit dual exhausts.

This 1964 Chevy C10 at Skyway Classics is a certain trophy anywhere you drive her. Come see her soon.

Great Experience -
“ Great experience. Contacted Al on car that I was interested in. I flew in and checked out car and all was well. He even fixed a few extra items that needed attention as well. He delivered car prompt and all was great. Would recommend him for any of your classic car purchases. ”
