1984 JEEP
J-SERIES J-10
Survivor 1984 Jeep J-Series J-10
The Jeep Gladiator (or Jeep Pickup or J10 Series) is a full-size pickup truck based on the large SJ (Jeep Wagoneer) platform that was built and sold under numerous marques from 1962 to 1988. The Jeep pickup design was noteworthy for being in production for more than 26 years with only minor mechanical changes. The Gladiator was the basis of the first post-war U.S. Army trucks designed to be civilian vehicles and adapted to military use.
The Gladiator name was dropped after 1971, after which the line was known simply as the Jeep pickup. The pickups were designated as J2000 and J4000 models (the 3000 series was dropped in 1971) until 1973, then as J10 and J20 models from 1974 to 1988.
They are now few and far between. But we have a 1984 JEEP J-SERIES J10 Pickup here at Skyway Classics. The AMC 258 cu in L6 engine was introduced in 1972 and offered through 1988 and produced 112 hp and 210 lb·ft of torque. But the one we have for sale had the bigger AMC 360 cu in producing 195 hp and 295 lb·ft of torque and a three-speed automatic transmission! It is painted a great cream color with a matching cream interior. Other features and options include air conditioning, power steering and brakes, gauges, center console with radio system, sliding rear window, 4WD, and a body matching tool box. It rides on aggressive tires and wagon wheel style rims.
The 1984 JEEP J10 we have here at Skyway is one heck of a nice 4WD vehicle to drive and enjoy and is certainly one to attract attention wherever you drive it.
