Ours has the T-code engine which T Code Engine that is a 200 cubic inch Inline-Six rated at 120 horsepower. It replaced the U-code as the base engine option, and due to its long run is one of the most abundant engines produced. Starting in 1965, this engine was used in the Mustang through 1971.
It looks entirely original right down the Ford blue paint on the engine, factory correct blue painted air cleaner assembly with factory decals, factory correct blue painted chrome valve covers, windshield washer bag that is still attached to the inner fender panel, and is shifted by an automatic transmission.
Interior
The interior is all as it was when it was factory original. It has twin black buckets up front and the matching rear seat, dash, and door panels, seat belts, carpet and floor mats.
You will like the Mustang sport steering wheel and the instrument panel that has all the correct factory gauges, and features a 140-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials with the center console housing the automatic shifter surrounded by chrome trim, pushbutton radio system, and the black convertible top, as well as the original looking trunk with the factory trunk mat, spare tire, and hubcap.
Exterior
On the outside, our Mustang wears the restored factory correct “8” code of Springtime Yellow paint with its great chrome front and rear bumpers, restored trim, great glass, black convertible top, blacked out grille, unique fuel filler cap on the panel between the tail lamps.
Our Mustang rides on the factory styled chrome hubcaps on white sidewall tires as this wheel and tire combination is totally fitting on this classic pony car, and combined with the square set body, they give this Mustang a stance that is just magnificent.
