1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible
Why This Vehicle is Special
The Continental is a series of personal luxury cars that was produced by Ford Motor Company and served as the flagship vehicle of Ford Motor Company for its entire production.
Most collectors think that the best one was the 1965 Continental four-door convertible like we have here at Skyway Classics today.
Everything on this iconic car is super right down to its elegant color combination on the four-door convertible, and especially so with those rear-hinged suicide doors.

It rides on steel wheels that are fitted with factory Lincoln turbine-style wheel covers and wears aftermarket chrome 5-speed wheels and black sidewall tires, has dual exhaust, and backed by a C-6 automatic three-speed automatic transmission.

Instrumentation is housed in individual recesses, and includes a 120-mph speedometer, fuel level indicator, oil pressure gauge, and coolant temperature gauge.
Exterior
Our 1965 icon is painted in a warm shade of white paint that is both subtle and sophisticated on the flat sides with all the chrome accent lines, wide horizontal grille, and of course, those suicide doors.
It retains the Continental script, that great iconic styling flows gracefully along the long lines of this two-door from front to the rear, has shiny front and rear bumpers and looks long, low, and sleek, just like the designers were looking for.
Conclusion
The 1965 Lincoln Continental we have here at Skyway Classics is a low mileage example of what luxury and performance cars were all about back in the sixties.
