Mechanical

Specialty Vehicle Engineering fitted the stock 6.8-liter LT-1 V8 with a red color-keyed supercharger, a forged steel crankshaft and H-beam rods, forged aluminum pistons, CNC ported LT-4 cylinder heads, stainless steel long-tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, a dual-mode stainless steel exhaust, and an upgraded fuel system. Peak output was rated by Specialty Vehicle Engineering at 1000 horsepower and 875 lb-ft of torque.

Factory equipment included 2SS trim level and 1LE Track Performance Package, Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brake calipers, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and an electronic limited-slip differential.

Interior

The interior features heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable front Recaro bucket seats upholstered in Jet Black with “sYc” embroidered headrests. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a head-up display, a rearview camera, a performance data and video recorder, an infotainment system with Bose audio, and Yenko-branded door sills and floor mats.

The sueded microfiber-wrapped steering wheel features a heated rim along with Yenko badging and fronts a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, a center display with auxiliary gauges, and a serialized plaque affixed to the center console identifies the car as Yenko/SC #29.

Exterior

Specialty Vehicle Engineering reportedly produced 50 Yenko/SC Stage II Camaros for the model year, and this example is finished in Garnet Red with black Yenko/SC side stripes, a carbon-fiber hood, a hood scoop, and Yenko badging. Additional equipment includes a front splitter, a rear blade spoiler, LED lights, and quad-exhaust outlets.

Black-finished 20″ five-spoke alloy wheels feature machined lips and “sYc” center caps, and are mounted with staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The car is equipped with Magnetic Ride Control, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with multi-piston Brembo calipers.
