Under the hood is what makes the Charger such a great modern classic. It has the legendary 5.7-liter Hemi V8 backed by the sturdy five-speed automatic transmission, which gives it the right gearing to be both fast and an overdrive cruiser.

Plus, you get a fully independent suspension for terrific grip. Add in power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and ABS, and you absolutely understand the appeal of owning a modern V8 machine.

Interior

Exterior

This was the first year that Dodge resurrected the Charger name for modern times, and they did a terrific job. Ours has a shiny white paint scheme with the black callouts on the rear fenders, black stipes on the hood, and the deep slope in the front fenders gives this the narrow-eyed look of the Viper as well as the kick-up incorporated in the rear door panels instantly evoke memories of the Chargers of the '60s.

It rides on black sidewall performance tires on 5-spoke factory aluminum wheels and the throaty exhaust note coming out the dual exhaust sounds menacing too.
