Why This Car Is Special

We have a great and fun real 1964 Malibu SS, as verified by the 5837 in the VIN code, here today at Skyway Classics. Sixties Malibu's have great looks, power and a fun factor that is sure to put a smile on the face of any owners and these first generation Malibu's are gaining popularity and will make you a standout in the crowd of the 1969 and 1970 ones at the next car show.

And to make this one even rarer, it was a Canadian car as the paint code shows TT, which is a Canadian only paint code.

Mechanical

Our Malibu has been upgraded with a 350 cubic inch engine modified with a HEI distributor that provides a strong spark and reliability to keep you cruising, chrome valve covers and open-element K&N air cleaner, aluminum intake, tube headers, performance spark plug wire set, chrome fan shroud, aluminum radiator, Power Steering and brakes, and all sitting in a detailed engine compartment.

Power is transmitted to the 10-bolt rear end via the B&M shifted automatic transmission as it rides on 5-spoke polished mag wheels and black sidewall performance tires.

The power steering is incredibly smooth and makes steering almost effortless, so you can focus on grabbing that next gear! The 10-bolt rear end puts the power to the ground nicely and the new dual exhaust has a great sound.

Interior

The original interior is white vinyl bucket seats with the matching rear seat, headliner, and door panels, the B&M shifter on the floor in the SS stainless steel console, updated stereo system, blue carpet, factory painted dash with gauges, and a black Grant GT steering wheel.

Even the trunk is very clean and presents nicely with a grey trunk mat and spare tire cover.

Exterior

The Blue Metallic paint fits this body style very well and looks good with the chrome bumpers, Malibu SS badges, good glass and trim, dual chrome mirrors, and is sure to garner attention at shows. These first generation Malibu's were boxy and sporty at the same time and this is a timeless look that has a huge following, and it's easy to see why.

Dual exhaust tips exiting the rear the sides look and sound great and our Malibu has a great stance too.

Conclusion

Don't miss out on this real 1964 Malibu SS we have here at Skyway Classics as it is a value priced muscle car that needs nothing but a new driver in the driver seat.

It is a solid and clean example of what a mid-sixties muscle car should be.
