This type of Ford in the early 60's saw the rise of drag-strips and circle track racing and American auto manufacturers were finding out that the more cubic inches and pure horsepower they could put is muscle cars, the more they would win on the racetrack and the street, hence the more of these cars they could sell.

Our 1963 Ford Galaxie has a 390 cubic inch big block under the hood topped by 4-barrel Holley performance carburetor, chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, black finned aluminum Cobra valve covers, exhaust headers, power brakes, performance spark plug wires, and MSD electronics.

The engine sits in a very period correct clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment and is shifted by an automatic transmission that handles the big block's horsepower and out the HD rear end.

The undercarriage shows the details like the dual exhaust, and H.D. suspension as it rides on custom aluminum mag wheels and white letter Firestone Firehawk performance tires.

Interior

The interior looks so good with the black twin bucket seats with chrome trim and matching rear full bench seat, floor console with the chrome automatic shifter, red carpets and black Ford floor mats, chrome-accented black door panels, deep-dish black/chrome steering wheel, as well as the dash with all the factory gauges and performance accessory gauges below, radio, and 120 MPH speedometer.

Exterior

Our Ford is painted in a pleasing and very nice looking bright red paint with great chrome front and rear bumpers, crisp body lines, big round taillights that reflected the '60s enthusiasm for the jet age, 390 Ford fender badges, body panels that look straight, good stainless trim, and tinted glass windows.

Conclusion
