1970 Chevrolet
1-1/2 Ton Pickup
1970 Chevrolet CST 350 Pickup
Why This Truck Is Special
In 1970, Chevrolet made a pickup truck called the CST (Custom Sport Truck) and it was the top trim that would be replaced by the Cheyenne in later years.
This 1970 Chevrolet CST 350 C10 Pickup we have at Skyway Classics looks like the day it was bought off the showroom floor and retains all that originality with a very vibrant two-tone aqua and white paint scheme.
Mechanical Specs
We can start with the small block 350 cubic inch engine that sits in a factory correct and detailed engine bay and transmitted to the three-speed automatic transmission.
Everything looks as it did in 1970 with the engine block, intake, and heads painted in Chevrolet orange, newer black Chevrolet Bowtie logo valve covers, matching black lid open element air cleaner, tube headers, modified distributor and ignition, and replaced hoses and accessories.
It has Power Steering, Power Brakes, and emits a great sound thru the dual exhaust system, turbo-type mufflers, and dual Bowtie chrome tips.
Interior
On the inside the rich aqua colored full bench seat has the sculptured inlays as well as the door panels looking great with the wood grain inserts that match the dash. When you look at the wood paneled dash it has the gauges with the speedometer showing only 67212 miles.
The dual-spoke steering wheel is black as are the seat belts, it has an aftermarket Chevrolet logo stereo radio and speaker system, great headliner, and all other factory correct interior parts.
Exterior
It is painted super nice aqua shade of paint on the exterior and topped by the white painted cab with plenty of brightwork that goes well beyond the big bumpers. You get some nice extra body stainless, including the upper and lower body side accents, the premium design touch continues on the tailgate, carpeted bed liner and chrome rails on the bed rails, and keeping with the classic style there are even Chevy Rally wheels with BF Goodrich raised white letter Radial TA tires mounted on them.
Conclusion
There are very few 1970 Chevrolet CST 350 C10 Pickups like the one we have at Skyway Classics but if you come see it in person, you will know what we mean. This truck is simply gorgeous, let alone great sounding and driving.
