We have a classic restored 1986 Chevy El Camino Designer Series SS with the limited edition "Choo Choo Package" here at Skyway Classics. It's Dark Red Metallic Exterior over Dark Red interior and a fresh and modified 350 cubic inch V-8 Engine w/4-Bolt Main and a 700R 4-speed automatic transmission.
"Choo Choo Customs was a vehicle customization/conversion company based out of Chattanooga, TN that began building conversion vans in 1975. Choo Choo Customs first started converting El Caminos into Designer Series SS models in 1983.
Choo Choo converted El Caminos into customs similar to the SLP Camaro SS and Trans Am WS6 of the 1990's and 2000's.
Mechanical
The heartbeat of our Choo Choo is a fresh and modified 350 cubic inch V-8 Engine w/4-Bolt Main that has been warmed over with the addition of A High Rise Aluminum Intake, Holley Carburetor, chrome finned air cleaner assembly and valve covers, Headers w/Dual Flowmaster Mufflers, Aluminum Water Pump, 4-Core Aluminum Radiator, and a 700R 4-speed automatic transmission.
It also received a Replaced Power Steering Gear Box, has Cold Air Conditioning, a replaced set of 3.38 Gears w/Calibrated Speedometer, replaced Disc Brakes and Suspension, and rides on Aluminum American Racing Wheels with black wall performance tires.
Interior
Our interior is done in a matching cloth interior featuring a split front bench seat with console and the matching rear seat and carpet, factory dash with all the correct gauges, air conditioning, automatic shifter, and black all weather floor mats.
All interior components are in good shape and look great and include a Tilt Steering Wheel, Tinted Glass, Power Windows and Locks, and an upgraded stereo radio system.
Exterior
Our El Camino was restored in 2015 and painted a gloss Dark Red Metallic paint over the straight body panels, hood scoop, and bed, with El Camino SS graphics on the sides, Cowl Induction on the hood, moon roof, and a tonneau cover that was all part of the Choo Choo Package.
The frame was also blasted and repainted and this SS Was built to drive and enjoy. It is a real Choo Choo El Camino SS with Less than 1,000 produced in 1986.
