1965 Ford Blue Mustang
Why This Car Is Special
The nice mostly original 1965 Blue Mustang we have here at Skyway Classics is a rare 1st generation 1965 with the pony car styling. It has the long hood and short deck that proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition including the Camaro, Firebird, Cougar and others.
Mechanical
Our Mustang has the C Code engine (per the vin # 5F07C664640) which is a 289 cubic inch engine with over 225 horsepower with what appears to be all the original equipment on it like the carb, factory intake, ignition components, radiator, and factory cast iron exhaust headers exiting back to the rear of the exhaust system.
It also has the correct gold painted factory air cleaner assembly and valve covers on the black painted engine, correct hoses and wires, power steering and brakes, with the engine sitting in a very original engine compartment all backed up by an automatic transmission.
Interior
The interior has a tan interior with twin black front bucket seats and matching rear seat, black carpet, tan door panels, tan dash with all the factory instrumentation, two iconic round gauge pods, radio and speakers, tan and polished 3-spoke sport Mustang steering wheel, and pristine chrome and stainless trim also.
Exterior
This 1965 Mustang has a great subtle shade of blue paint that is very nice and is complimented by all the tight-fitting quarter and door panels, great chrome, 289 and Mustang emblems, correct Ford Mustang chrome 5-spoke mag wheels, white-wall tires, and the great bumpers.
Conclusion
The 1965 Mustang Hardtop with the C Code 289 4-barrel engine we have here at Skyway Classics is a great classic Mustang with the 60's Pony Car looks you have been waiting for and is a super dependable Mustang as you will find.
