The fully restored 1965 White Mustang Convertible we have here at Skyway Classics is a rare 1st generation 1965 with the iconic pony car styling it is famous for.
It has the long hood and short deck that proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition including the Camaro, Firebird, Cougar and others. This was a full no-expense restoration and you can tell by the pictures how nice it is.
Mechanical Our Mustang has the optional A Code engine which was a 289 cubic inch with a 4-barrel carb that was listed at 225 horsepower. It is very nicely detailed with the correct shade of Ford blue on the engine block, chrome open air cleaner element with the 289 orange Ford emblem on it, chrome valve covers, aluminum performance intake, air conditioning, modified ignition, factory cast iron exhaust headers, all the correct hoses and wires, accessories, and all sitting in a factory correct, painted and detailed engine compartment and backed up by an automatic transmission.
Interior
Our 1965 has a refreshed suede brown colored interior that included from the factory front seat belts, a glove box light, and a padded dashboard, correct twin front factory bucket seats and matching rear seat, brown carpet and door panels, Mustang logo floor mats, a great dash with all the correct factory gauges and speedometer, Mustang radio, air conditioning, and three-spoke chrome and wood steering wheel.
It has a new matching brown convertible top, which stows under a boot, and a rare luggage rack.
Exterior
The 1965 White paint on our Mustang is nice and is complimented by all good chrome, 289 and Mustang emblems, flat style custom mag wheels, raised white letter Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires, and great chrome bumpers.
