1962 Chevy White Impala
Why This Car Is Special
We have what we believe to be a very original beautiful Ermine White 1962 Chevrolet Impala is here for sale at Skyway Classics that still retains its original drivetrain as well as most other parts and interior too.
It was ordered with the 327 cubic inch engine an a Powerglide transmission and looks great inside and out in White with the Red interior.
Mechanical
Our Impala has the 327 cubic inch engine, with the engine stamping number F0323S, with S designating 327, and still retains the original Chevy orange painted engine block, correct #3783244 intake for a 327 with a Carter WCFB, stock painted valve covers, correct original black painted single-scoop air cleaner, “Rams Horn” factory exhaust manifolds, and all sitting in what looks like it the original factory engine compartment other than the Air Conditioning that has been added, which is a must down here in Florida!
The 327 supplies the power back to the Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission and gasses go out the back thru the exhaust. It rides on steel wheels with the factory hubcaps and thin whitewall tires, has power steering and brakes, with the chassis all being undercoated for durability too.
Interior
An original looking red interior is nice with the original front split bench seat that is very comfortable. The door panels and headliner match in red as do the carpets and floor mats. It even has power seats and windows as well as the matching red factory original Chevrolet steering wheel.
Upgrades include the powerful A/C system but the rest looks original with the engine turned stainless dash housing the factory gauges and knobs, speedometer showing only 39689 miles, and factory AM radio.
Exterior
The Impala came from the factory in this shade of Ermine White and is the car's original color according to the Cowl Tag # Paint #936, and interior code #874 Red Interior too, and the paint job is a great choice for the classic Impala.
The paint looks good as does the bodywork, chrome and stainless trim, the iconic red stripe down the sides, and the factory emblems.
It also has had new floorboards added to the interior to make it more weather-proof.
Conclusion
This beautiful Ermine White 1962 Chevrolet Impala we here for sale at Skyway Classics is a great piece of Chevrolet history with that legendary Impala nameplate on its flanks.
It is a very original car according to the engine numbers and cowl tag numbers, and you could drive across the country without any worries. It sure brings back memories of when you could hear on the TV, “See the USA…in your Chevrolet!”
