1964 Ford Galaxie
Why This Car Is Special
The Ford Galaxie we have here at Skyway Classics is a great looking fully restored from top to bottom, running example of an early sixties big block Ford muscle car.
It has the power, comfort, and looks that you will love and enjoy cruising in.
Verified by the Vin # and Trim Tag it was born as a 63C-2 Door Hardtop, came originally painted in A code Raven Black with a 86 code Black interior, built in Los Angeles, California, and powered by a Z code 8-Cylinder 390 Cubic Inch (4-barrel) engine.
Mechanical
Under the hood where a 390 cubic inch V8 engine came stock, this car received a transplant of a modified, ground-pounding 427 cubic inch big block power with dual Holley carbs on an aluminum intake, large tube performance stock exhaust manifolds flowing into the dual exhaust, It dual-quad 427 logo aluminum finned open element air cleaner assembly, 427 decaled Ford chrome valve covers, MSD ignition and box, plus it even has air conditioning, with it all sitting in a great painted and detailed engine compartment.
You get complete control over all that power with the 4-speed manual transmission feeding back to the H.D. rear end and the Ford riding on larger custom 5-spoke chrome wheel mags and blackwall performance tires.
Interior
A restored black vinyl interior looks great and completes the black sinister look of the paint color nicely. Bucket seats and a center console with the shifter on the floor sure make the inside feel more like a muscle car than anything else.
This Galaxie has seat belts to keep you and your passengers secured and added accessory gauges and a large chrome tachometer to keep an eye on conditions under the hood. The interior of this car has a lot of chrome and stainless accents that give it a rich and sporty look.
It has black carpet and a restored trunk with spare tire, jack, and correct trunk mats too.
Exterior
This Galaxie looks sinister in its mile-deep black paint flowing over the “teardrop” hood scoop, reminiscent of the factory drag Galaxies back in this era.
All the chrome form the front and rear bumpers, side trim, windshield trim, window trim, and side emblems look as new or better. Dual exhaust tips exit under the rear bumper and not only look cool but put out a sound that any classic car fan will appreciate.
Conclusion
It's not every day here at Skyway Classics that we take in a 1964 Ford Galaxie with 427 power, 4-speed, and great muscle car looks, so this one will not last long at this price.
You need to come see it to take in all the little things done to make this Ford just right for you.
