1976 Ford F-150
Why This Truck Is Special
The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and medium-duty commercial trucks that were produced by Ford from 1972 to 1979.
This generation is noted for the body panels' durability as Ford used extensive amounts of galvanized sheet metal, zinc coated steel, zinc rich primer and fender liners, to fight corrosion.
In 1976, the F-Series became the best-selling trucks in America, a position it has continued to hold ever since. We have a beautiful 1976 Ford F150 Ranger here at Skyway Classics that is restored in the factory correct paint scheme and interior and powered by the big 390 cubic inch V8 engine with cold blowing air.
Mechanical
The engine is a strong running 390 V8 instead of the smaller engines usually found in these series trucks. The FE 390 Ford engine was a great engine for these trucks as it had good horsepower and torque all thru the rpm ranges. Ours looks much as it did when it left the showroom with a cold air open air cleaner added, chrome valve covers, PS, PB, air conditioning, and sitting in a clean and detailed engine compartment with all the factory correct parts too.
Interior
Our 1976 has a matching two-tone Green all vinyl bench seat interior with black/green dash housing all the factory stock gauges, matching door panels, black carpet, green seat belts, and all the trim looks re factory also.
It also has a perfect working radio, wood enhanced steering wheel, column mounted shifter, and great headliner.
Exterior
This truck has been repainted in the factory correct UW code two-tone Light Green/Glen Green, which is a great green paint scheme with chrome bumpers front and back, a vinyl bed cover, large side mirrors, and rides on blackwall tires mounted on chrome smoothie type wheels for that right period look.
Conclusion
This 1976 Ford F150 Ranger we have at Skyway Classics is a literal time capsule of a truck. You literally would have to go back to 1976 to find a truck that looks as nice as a new one.
Come see it today.
