1987 Chevrolet Black El Camino - one owner original 52,126 miles!!

Why This Car Is Special

The Chevrolet El Camino is arguably the worlds most loved car/truck and was a a pickup/utility vehicle that was produced by Chevrolet between 1959–60 and 1964–1987.

Unlike a standard pickup truck, the El Camino was adapted from the standard two-door Chevrolet station wagon platform and integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body.

We have a cool black and silver 1987 El Camino here at Skyway Classics that is an iconic example of that Chevrolet hybrid sedan/pick-up.

Mechanical

Under the hood is a numbers matching Chevrolet 305 cubic-inch small-block V6 that we love because of how reliable they are. It is partnered with an automatic transmission.

This engine and compartment looks as new as it was when it left the showroom back in 1987 and has all the right factory parts like the black lid air cleaner, factory exhaust manifolds, air conditioning, black valve covers, factory intake, power steering, and power-assisted front discs/rear drums provide plenty of stopping power.

It rides on whitewall radial tires and the factory road wheels to give it the right look and stance.

As you can see from the tidy engine bay, this one has been unmolested and only received proper care over the years. This El Camino is setup to be an easy all-day cruiser.

Interior

Inside is a great silver/grey twin bucket seat cloth interior that is fully equipped with factory air conditioning, AM/FM/ stereo, dash with the factory gauges, tilt steering wheel, Seat Belts, Cruise Control, Power Windows, Power Locks, and matching grey carpeting.

Exterior

Thanks to the handsome two-tone paint in black and silver, this El Camino looks like a far more expensive vehicle than it is. The two-tone looks period-correct on this final generation El Caminos and it is a particularly sleek and sporty design with a hint of classic style with the smooth roof that is a bit reminiscent of the three-window coupes from the '30s.

Everywhere on this El Camino has all the right factory-correct flair. There's stainless steel trim that neatly separates the lower paint, the taillight inset in the rear bumper, and the bed looks great with the bedliner in it to protect it and to make sure it stays that way if you ever use this El Camino as a true pickup.

Visual accents include dual sport mirrors, great trim, and good chrome bumpers.

Conclusion

This cool one owner 1987 El Camino with orginal 52,126 miles here at Skyway Classics isn't all just about great looks, as it drives just as good as it looks too. Our El Camino is both functional and fun to drive and will be a nice addition to your garage.
